Bali — The Indonesian Padel Association (PBPI) took part in the Road to Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 event, a celebration marking the 20th edition of the Asian Games, held to build public excitement and support ahead of Asia's largest multi-sport competition.
PBPI extended its thanks to the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) for the invitation to participate in the event. On the occasion, PBPI also congratulated NOC Indonesia Chairman Raja Sapta Oktohari, who was entrusted as host of this year's Road to Asian Games event.
As part of the event series, PBPI joined in the Asian Games Fun Run 2026 and was given the special opportunity to stage a padel exhibition before the public. The moment marks a historic milestone for the sport in Indonesia, as this year padel will officially debut as a competed discipline at the Asian Games for the first time.
"This year is a truly historic moment for us, as padel officially becomes an Asian Games sport for the very first time. We are excited and enthusiastic about this opportunity, and we're ready to give our best for Indonesia," PBPI stated.
With padel's historic debut at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 on the horizon, PBPI is calling on the Indonesian public to rally behind the nation's athletes and send their best wishes to the Indonesian padel contingent as they prepare for their first-ever appearance at the prestigious event.
