Twenty-four hours after dropping zero games in their opening qualifier, top seeds Raditya Kirana Rianto and Wahyu Diantoro were out of the FIP Bronze Yogyakarta 2026. Their Round of 16 match on Dome A on Thursday morning ended in a 1–6, 6–4, 6–3 win for Raziv Bancin and Kenneth Legacy Yesyurun — an unseeded all-Indonesian pair who came back from a one-set deficit to author the day's biggest upset.
The first set told the story everyone expected. Rianto and Diantoro came out the way they had on Day 1 — efficient, ruthless, taking the set 6–1 in what looked like a continuation of their opening 6–0, 6–0. The second set rewrote it. Bancin and Yesyurun held their ground, broke when it mattered, and levelled at 6–4. In the decider, they did it again: 6–3, and the No. 1 seeds were beaten.
Bancin and Yesyurun could not carry the run into the qualifying final on Day 2. They were beaten 6–3, 6–2 in Q3 by Christian Alvin Edison and Achad Imam Maruf, who advance to the main draw in their place. But the result that mattered for the wider bracket had already happened: with Rianto and Diantoro out, with No. 2 seeds Power and Anshari out to Mercadal and Mamat, and with No. 4 seeds Alkautsar and Rafly later eliminated by Trijati and Saputra, the seeding logic of the qualifying draw had collapsed.
Only one seeded pair — No. 3 Ijul and Aul — survives into Friday's main draw. The rest of the qualifying spots have been filled by upsetters.
